Gilla Band Bring the Noise to Bank Lane

Gilla Band brought their unmistakable wall of noise to Bank Lane for a blistering live show in October 2025, delivering one of the loudest and most intense nights we’ve hosted at the venue.

The set pulled from across the band’s catalogue, including Lawman, De Bom Bom, Pears for Lunch, Shoulderblades, Backwash and Eight Fivers. In a room the size of Bank Lane, their sound was huge — raw, physical and relentless from the opening minutes.

It was also exactly the kind of show Bank Lane was built for. The close proximity between artist and audience gave the night an intensity that’s difficult to recreate in a larger venue, while the room’s acoustic treatment and sound system allowed the sheer weight of Gilla Band’s live production to come through without losing its detail.

For us, nights like this are a big part of what Bank Lane is about: bringing nationally and internationally recognised artists to Waterford while creating a room where loud, original and alternative live music can thrive.
